Bookkeeping, Accounting and Payroll Services for Florida Small Businesses
JE Ledger is Javier Echevarria's bookkeeping and accounting practice, working with small businesses in Miami, Orlando, Palm Bay, Kissimmee, Melbourne and Titusville. Call or text (305) 748-1367 Mon to Fri, 8 AM to 5 PM, or send a message and you will hear back from Javier himself.
Keeping the books
- Business Bookkeeping. Every transaction recorded and categorized, each bank and card account reconciled against its statement, and the month closed so the numbers stop moving.
- Accounting Services. When recorded figures need to become finished statements that a lender, a partner or your tax preparer can rely on.
- Data Entry Service. Getting each entry right the first time, since every report you read later is only as good as the lines underneath it.
Paying people
- Payroll Service. Florida has no state income tax to withhold, but reemployment tax and new hire reporting still apply, so call and talk through what your payroll needs.
Decisions and planning
- Financial Consultation. A working session over your own figures about one decision, with the reasoning shown so you can check it yourself.
- Cost Accounting Service. Finding out which jobs, products or services actually pay for themselves once overhead is shared out between them.
- Business Development Service. Whether the cash can carry a new hire, a second location or a bigger contract, worked out before you sign anything.
The admin around the money
- Business Administration Service. Invoices that need chasing, bills nobody logged and renewal dates that belong on a calendar instead of in last month's mail.

Questions owners ask before they call
Do I need a bookkeeper or an accountant?
Bookkeeping keeps the records current and reconciled through the year. Accounting turns those records into closed, reviewed statements. Most small businesses need the first every month and the second when someone outside the business asks for numbers, and JE Ledger does both.
Can I still start if my books are months behind?
Yes. The backlog gets caught up one month at a time, each one reconciled before the next, and then the regular monthly routine takes over. Tell Javier roughly where the books stopped.
What happens each month once the books are current?
Transactions are recorded and categorized, every account is reconciled to its statement, the month is closed, and you get a short note on anything worth a second look.
Which parts of Florida do you work with?
The service areas on the Google profile are Miami, Orlando, Palm Bay, Kissimmee, Melbourne and Titusville. You work with Javier by phone, email or WhatsApp, so if your business is somewhere else in Florida, call and ask.
How much does a bookkeeper cost for a small business?
Monthly bookkeeping with JE Ledger starts at $500 a month. Clearing a backlog, and any other work, is quoted separately. Call (305) 748-1367 or email [email protected] and describe your setup.
Not sure where to start?
Tell Javier how your books are kept today and what you need from them. He will say which of these fits, and whether a catch-up has to come first.
